1. General
Participation in the prize draw organized by the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin (hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer") is only possible under the inclusion of these terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
All natural persons with legal capacity who are at least 14 years old and reside in Germany are eligible to participate. Employees of the Organizer and their relatives are excluded from participation. If participation is restricted to persons aged 16 or 18 and above, this will be stated separately in the respective prize draw. Participation is only possible within the time frame specified in the prize draw description. Legal recourse is excluded.
3. Prize
All participants who comply with the prize draw requirements have the opportunity to be selected to win a prize. A total of 10 winners will be determined. The winners will be selected by employees of the Organizer based on entries submitted via the web form on the Organizer’s website. Legal recourse is excluded. Cash payment or exchange of the prize is not possible. Winners will be notified via email or as described in the prize draw. If a winner does not respond within the specified time frame, the prize will be forfeited without replacement.
To participate, the entrant must complete and submit the web form linked in the newsletter. All valid entries will be entered into a random draw conducted by employees of the Organizer.
The prize includes 10x two guest list spots for the event Khartoum Calling – Voices for Sudan on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM at silent green Kulturquartier. The prize draw runs from October 7, 2025, until October 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Winners will be contacted by the Organizer’s staff on October 10, 2025.
4. Liability
Claims for damages against the Organizer in connection with the prize draw are excluded to the extent permitted by law, regardless of the legal basis, unless the Organizer has acted with intent or gross negligence. Furthermore, the Organizer is not liable for damages resulting from the unavailability of the prize draw website due to technical disruptions beyond its control, force majeure, or third-party attacks. The Organizer will make every effort to ensure the reliability and functionality of the prize draw website. The Organizer does not guarantee that the prize draw website will function properly on the participant’s device.
5. Data Protection
The Organizer ensures the highest possible data protection standards within the scope of the prize draw and complies with all relevant legal provisions. The Organizer will not share personal data with third parties or sell address data. Personal data will be stored solely for the purpose of conducting the prize draw. By participating, the entrant expressly agrees to the storage and use of their personal data for the aforementioned purpose.
6. Severability Clause
If any provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, or if there is a gap in the provisions, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid or missing provision shall be replaced by a provision that most closely reflects the purpose of the agreement and the applicable legal requirements.
7. Jurisdiction / Applicable Law
In case of disputes, German law shall apply exclusively. The place of jurisdiction, as far as legally permissible, shall be the registered office of the Organizer. If the participant does not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or relocates abroad after participation, the registered office of the Organizer shall also be the place of jurisdiction.
8. Selection Procedure
The winner will be selected by employees of the Organizer and notified via Instagram direct message. One person will be randomly selected from all comments under the prize draw post. Legal recourse is excluded.
