With us, you can also get into the cinema with the KulturPass!
How does the KulturPass work?
The KulturPass is an initiative by the German government for everyone living in Germany who turns 18 in the respective year. If this applies to you, you can register via the KulturPass app or on the website and receive a credit of 100 euros. You can use this credit for a variety of cultural offers such as books, CDs, concert, theatre, or cinema tickets – including tickets for the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin.
If you have a KulturPass, you can purchase a reduced ticket. Please remember to present your pass during ticket inspection.
Information will follow shortly.
The equal participation of all in culture and political discourse is a human right.
We do our best to fulfil this right. Nevertheless, not all events at the festival are barrier-free for the various needs of all people.
Wheelchair accessibility, accessibility for people with mobility aids
Our festival center – Kino in der KulturBrauerei, where the majority of our events take place, has limited accessibility. However, wheelchair-accessible seats are available. If you would like to use one of these seats, please contact us in advance at access@hrffb.de.
The Zeiss-Großplanetarium cinema is fully accessible. Visitors with limited mobility can easily access the screening room.
Unfortunately, the ACUD Kino is not wheelchair accessible.
Festival for people with hearing impairments:
We show all films with English or German subtitles.
Unfortunately, we do not currently have an audio version for any of our films.
If you require sign language translation for another event, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can provide interpreters in good time. Please contact access@hrffb.de at least 7 days before the event and use the subject line: Accessibility - signers.
Festival for people with visual impairments
Unfortunately, none of the festival films are currently available with audio description.
Festival for people with low income
Holders of the Berlin Pass have reduced admission.
If you have a question about the accessibility of a particular event or need specific support, please contact us at access@hrffb.de.
In our festival programme, you can choose a film. If wheelchair-accessible seats are still available, you can reserve one when booking your ticket. If all available seats have already been booked, this option will no longer be shown.
If you would like to bring an accompanying person, first select the film you wish to attend and click on “Tickets.” In addition to your own ticket, you can then select the free “Free Ticket for Accompanying person for people with disabilities.”
Please note: This ticket is only available for accompanying persons of people with disabilities.
Between April 19 and 30, selected films from this year’s programme will be available online, and tickets for the online screenings will also be available from that date. During the festival period from April 10 to 18, there will be no online screenings.
