Aktion gegen den Hunger is a globally active humanitarian and development aid organisation that supports over 28 million people and is active in 55 countries and regions. For 45 years, Action against Hunger has been successfully combating malnutrition and providing access to clean water and healthcare. 8,990 employees provide emergency aid and support people inbuilding sustainable livelihoods. The German section was founded in Berlin in 2014 and will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2024.

Greenpeace was founded in 1971 and is now active with offices in more than 55 countries worldwide. More than three million people support the independent environmental organization, including around 620,000 sponsoring members in Germany. Through direct, non-violent actions, Greenpeace works to protect the natural foundations of life for both people and nature. Through research, public education, and open engagement with political and economic stakeholders, the organization raises awareness and increases pressure for sustainable change.
