Sirens

By day, Lilas works as a children’s music teacher. It is only at night that she and her bandmates Shery, Maya, Alma and Tatyana can indulge in their art and live it up on the stages of Beirut. Together, they are the first and only female thrash metal band in the Middle East, formed at the height of the Lebanese revolution. They are Slave to Sirens  – brave, rebellious and determined to build their careers. The five girlfriends curse, argue and party the nights away. They talk openly about their sexuality and share tender, intimate moments. However, their grit is tested again and again: being accepted together with their music is a constant struggle for the young women.
