We Are Guardians

‘We are Guardians’ is an awesome, must-watch film because it makes the dramatic deforestation taking place in the rainforest clear.
As a viewer, you get good insights into the lives of Indigenous people, their perspectives and the dangers they face. In addition, the key role played by Indigenous peoples as guardians of nature become clear in the film. For me, there’s no doubt about it: we urgently have to do something about ecosystems being destroyed! by Simon Käsbach

As the fate of the Amazon basin hangs in the balance, so too does the fate of its Indigenous communities. Since 2014, at least 600 Indigenous forest guardians have been murdered while protecting their territories.
