Akinda is a project of XENION - Psychosocial Support for Politically Persecuted Persons e.V. For 25 years. XENION has been training, connecting, advising, and supporting volunteers who take on guardianships for unaccompanied minor refugees. Guardians help young people navigate their new life circumstances and assist them in building a safe and secure future.

VOLUNTEER WITH GLADT E.V.

GLADT e.V. is a self-organisation of Black, Indigenous and of Color lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans*, inter* and queer people in Berlin. The work of GLADT is mainly carried out by volunteers. In particular, interpreters and people to accompany people to official appointments, doctors and lawyers are needed.

SUPPORT TO WOMEN IN EXILE & FRIENDS

Women in Exile is an initiative founded by refugee women in 2002 in Brandenburg to fight for their rights. It serves as a bridge between the refugee movement and the feminist movement. The activists visit women in refugee camps in Berlin-Brandenburg, working together to find strategies to improve their living conditions. Small donations help ensure the continuity of their important work.

SIGN THE PETITION AGAINST THE PAYMENT CARD FOR REFUGEES

Even after the decision to introduce the so-called ‘payment card’ for refugees, the Berlin Refugee Council is collecting signatures against it in order to send a clear signal against the disenfranchisement of those affected.

SUITABLE COUNSELLING CENTRES FOR AFFECTED PERSONS

Here you can find counselling centres for victims of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence. The professional counselling support is aimed at those directly and indirectly affected, their relatives and witnesses of an attack.
