Activism for human rights and peace.

Through the telling of stories of so many courageous people who are dedicated to upholding human rights and peace, the films presented by Greenpeace are both an inspiration and a reminder. Safety for these activists is not assured militarily; it affects their daily lives. "The films highlight what still needs to be achieved for many people to live in peace. And they remind us of what we have to lose," says Anna von Gall, Peace Campaigner for Greenpeace Germany. Together with all the other films of the festival, they make clear that peace and human security can only exist when individual basic and human rights are respected.

When Spring Came to Bucha

Tanks and snipers target the gardens between the houses. For one month, the Russian army occupies the small Ukrainian town of Bucha near Kiev. When forces withdraw in March 2022, the houses have been destroyed and the civilian population executed.
