ACTIVATE: THE GLOBAL CITIZEN MOVEMENT is a documentary series that deals with the causes and consequences of extreme poverty worldwide. The episode “Education Cannot Wait” shows how actress Rachel Brosnahan travels to Peru with Global Citizen to talk to refugees who have not had access to schooling since their flight. Back in the USA, Rachel advocates that governments provide more funds for the global “Education Cannot Wait” fund, which supports the education of children in crisis situations. ACTIVATE is a project of Global Citizen, National Geographic and Procter & Gamble. Global Citizen is an international campaign organization with the goal of ending extreme poverty worldwide by the year 2030.
