Mir Hussain first appears in this film when he is eight years old. His life is marked by poverty; his family lives in a cave in rural Afghanistan. To support his father, he stops going to school at an early age and works instead. Over the years, Mir grows up, marries and starts a family. But to escape poverty, they move to the city. Once they are finally living in Kabul, his life takes an unexpected turn. Mir gets a job on the film crew that has been accompanying him for years. It is a job that he enjoys, even though it is dangerous. Mir makes recordings of attacks in Kabul. He always has to be the first one on the scene to deliver the first pictures. The risk of a second attack taking place at the same location is high.
