Festivalzentrum @BUFA

This year's Human Rights Film Festival Berlin has not only found a fantastic partner in the Berliner Union Film Ateliers (BUFA), but also an excellent location for its festival center.

The spacious Studio 2 - one of the oldest buildings on campus - not only provides an excellent backdrop for the main cinema, but is also home to the Human Rights Film Forum.

The adjacent Studio 1, a temporary cinema, not only offers space for films, but also for subsequent discussions and Q&As.

Studio 3, with its unique green screen, is also the perfect space for the first-ever virtual reality exhibition "The Future Is Now", which will show six international projects related to environmental protection.

With the outdoor lounge and the Guests-Meet-Guests networking events, BUFA also creates a lively place for networking in these difficult times.

A film festival in times of Corona:

BUFA also offers the ideal location for a film festival in times of Corona due to the spaciousness and size of the studios. The size of the film studios allows us "physical" distancing without "social" distancing. Together we have developed a hygiene concept that complies with all current standards and takes additional measures. In all rooms there is a mask obligation until a seat is taken. During the breaks, appropriate disinfection and ventilation measures are taken and all network events take place outside with sufficient distance.

Berliner Union Film Ateliers (BUFA)

The BUFA is a film campus on the southern edge of the Tempelhofer Feld. We want to contribute to social, ecological and personal transformation and offer a place for activists, media workers, city farmers, etc. but also trees and other living beings.
